Following the success of the initial training program in Poti, EUROSOLAR Georgia, in collaboration with Innovation Energy LLC and the Eberhard Schöck Foundation, has launched a second solar energy training course at the Aisi College in Kachreti, located in the Gurjaani municipality of the Kakheti region, Georgia. This initiative marks another significant step towards building a skilled workforce in Georgia’s growing renewable energy sector.
The course titled “Design, Installation, and Operation of Solar Power Plants” aims to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for implementing solar power systems. Aisi College, known for its focus on meeting local and regional job market needs, has introduced this program as part of its mission to align with innovative educational practices while preserving national traditions.
Special Training Stands and New Facilities
To enhance the learning experience, Aisi College has received specialized training stands that allow students to practice solar panel installations on-site. This hands-on approach ensures that participants gain valuable, real-world experience in setting up and managing solar energy systems, preparing them for immediate entry into the renewable energy job market.
New Developments in Kakheti
In conjunction with the training program, Innovation Energy LLC has also opened its Kakheti branch in Gurjaani, further solidifying its commitment to expanding renewable energy initiatives throughout the region. This new branch aims to support ongoing projects and foster local collaboration in the field of clean energy.
Meet the New Team Member
We welcome Emzar Chakhashvili as the representative for Innovation Energy LLC in the region. Emzar is a seasoned electrical instructor at Aisi College with a background in safety engineering. He is also a graduate of the first solar energy course led by experts Dmitriy Burykin and Cyrill, bringing valuable expertise to the new training program.
Building on a Successful Model
This second course builds on the foundation set by the initial program in Poti, offering an expanded curriculum and more opportunities for hands-on learning. Students will benefit from guidance by experienced instructors, including Levan Robakidze from the Georgian Technical University and other notable professionals in the field of solar energy.
Photos from the early days of the course at Aisi College show enthusiastic students engaging in classroom sessions and hands-on activities on the college grounds. These images capture their focus and determination as they learn to set up solar panels with precision under the guidance of industry experts.
The training program will continue throughout the week, culminating in practical assessments and the awarding of certificates to those who successfully complete the course. These credentials will help graduates secure employment in Georgia’s expanding renewable energy sector, contributing to the country’s shift towards sustainable energy solutions.
Looking Ahead
EUROSOLAR Georgia, along with its partners, remains committed to driving the development of renewable energy skills across the country. The organizers are optimistic that this initiative at Aisi College will have a lasting impact on Georgia’s journey towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
